How do WAGO connectors work?

To understand how a WAGO connector works, you must look at the patented CAGE CLAMP® and PUSH WIRE® technologies. These systems replace traditional screw terminals with a stainless steel spring mechanism. This design provides a vibration-proof, gas-tight connection that automatically adjusts to the conductor size, ensuring a permanent and maintenance-free contact point.

How to use WAGO connectors

Learning how to use WAGO connectors is simple and significantly faster than traditional methods. For the 221 series, pull the orange lever up, insert a stripped conductor (11mm strip length), and push the lever back down. For the 2273 push-fit range, simply push the solid conductor into the unit. Our kits accommodate a wide range of wire sizes from 0.14mm² to 6mm² and are rated for currents up to 41A and voltages up to 450V.

WAGO 221 Series: Compact Lever Connectors (0.14mm² – 6mm²)

The 221 series is the core of our wago connectors range. These connectors support all conductor types. Standard variants accommodate 0.14mm² to 4mm² (rated 32A), while the 6mm² variants support up to 41A. They are rated for 450V and can withstand operating temperatures up to 105°C.

WAGO 2273 Series: PUSH WIRE® for Solid Conductors

Designed for space-critical applications, the 2273 series is up to 50% smaller than the original 273 series. These are specifically for solid conductors from 0.5mm² to 2.5mm² (rated 24A). The transparent housing allows for easy visual inspection of the connection and features a dedicated test port.

Professional L-BOXX 102 & Mini L-BOXX Assortments

Our wago boxes come in various configurations, including the L-BOXX 102 and Mini L-BOXX. These are fully compatible with Sortimo van racking systems. Kits like the 887-952 contain up to 415 pieces, providing a comprehensive assortment of 2-way, 3-way, and 5-way connectors for any on-site requirement.
