How To Correctly Terminate a Pre-Insulated Crimp Terminal

In this video Robbie Cross shows us how to correctly terminate a Pre-Insulated crimp terminal that can reach standards such as BS4579 or similar providing the correct tooling is used.

Summary

  1. If you haven't already, strip your wire 5mm.

  2. Put the terminal into the correct die in the tool for the wire and terminal size. Remember the wire goes into the tool from the sides with the numbers on.

  3. One click with the tool should hold the terminal in place.

  4. Position the wire in the terminal.

  5. Fully cycle the tool to create the strongest and best connection possible.
