A crimping tool is a precision instrument engineered to create a permanent "cold weld" between a conductor and its corresponding terminal. This crimp wire tool facilitates a mechanical and electrical bond that eliminates air gaps and prevents oxidation, ensuring long-term connection integrity.

How to Use Crimping Tool Systems

Effective termination begins with precise wire preparation. Operators must select matched tooling, such as the cycle-controlled CRT123B for pre-insulated terminals, which prevents handle release until a predetermined compression force is met. For larger gauge conductors (up to 400mm²), high-force hydraulic or battery-powered systems are utilised to achieve the necessary material transformation through a two-stage "power stroke".
