Technical Notes: STORM® glands are designed to offer improved ingress protection and faster fitting compared with conventional armoured cable glands. They are suitable for SWA armoured cables, SY and CY braided cables, require no shroud, and feature a UV-stabilised, zero-halogen body. The range also includes longer thread lengths compared with standard type glands: 17mm on sizes M20s to M32 and 22mm on sizes M40 to M63. For quicker installation times, STORM® is also available in STORM Taurus™ packs with EarthingNuts™, or E-STORM™ packs with EarthFix™.
