This high-performance fire alarm cable is built for demanding environments where safety and circuit integrity are critical. It features 1.5mm solid copper conductors for smaller sizes and 2.5mm to 4.0mm stranded copper for larger cables, ensuring reliable conductivity and flexibility. The silicone rubber insulation (Type EI2) offers excellent thermal resistance, while the tinned copper earth conductor adds corrosion protection.
The cable is further enhanced by mica glass tape and a 100% coverage aluminium foil screen, providing superior protection against electromagnetic interference. Its Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) outer sheath, available in red or white, ensures minimal smoke and no halogen gas emission in the event of a fire, improving safety.
With a voltage rating of 300/500V, the cable maintains a nominal conductor resistance of less than 100 Ω/km at 20°C and offers insulation resistance greater than 1 MΩ·km, ensuring long-term reliability. The cable can operate within a temperature range of −25°C to 70°C and has a minimum bend radius of 6 times the outer diameter for easy handling during installation.
This cable complies with BS 7629-1 and meets stringent circuit integrity standards: it withstands flame and shock for 120 minutes (BS EN 50200:2015), and performs under flame, shock, and water conditions for up to 120 minutes (BS 8434-2). It also passes vertical burn tests (BS EN 60332-1) and complies with low smoke generation and halogen gas emission standards (BS EN 60754-1&2, BS EN 61034-2).
Certified by BASEC and LPCB, this cable guarantees exceptional performance and safety, making it ideal for critical electrical installations in environments where both fire resistance and durability are essential.
